Wedding Makeup That Lasts

Wedding Makeup that Lasts

On your big day, you want your wedding makeup to last. Not only that, but you want to look stunning in your photographs. In order to insure that your makeup will last as long as possible, it may be best to hire a professional to take care of it. However, here is some advice to keep in mind even if you do hire a makeup artist.

Use a makeup base. Several cosmetic companies offer products that go on under your eye makeup or lipstick that help your makeup last. Eye makeup base provides a layer that your eyeshadow and eyeliner can adhere to. This prevents creasing and helps the colour stay on longer. They offer similar products for lipstick. However, try to find a lipstick base that is also moisturizing. Some products contain ingredients that dry the lips out. You'll need your lips to stay nice and moist so you can smile all day.

Get rid of extra shine. A shiny face looks even worse in photographs, especially if the photographer uses a flash. After washing your face, apply an oil controlling product. After that absorbs, apply a thin layer of loose powder. Apply foundation and the rest of your makeup as usual. Follow up with another thin layer of loose powder. Carry some pressed powder with you so you can control any shine as the day progresses.

Lasting lipstick. One of the first things to fade is your lipstick. Follow these tips that will help your lipstick last. First, apply a moisturizing lip base. Then, apply lip liner in a shade that is a little darker than your lipstick. Use a soft pencil. Fill the lips in with the pencil. Apply one coat of lipstick and blot gently. Apply another coat of lipstick but this time do not blot. Press a thin layer of facial tissue gently to your lips. Using a large brush, apply a thin layer of pressed powder to the tissue. The tissue acts as a screen, letting in only a small amount of powder. The powder helps the lipstick set and keeps it on longer.

Pack a makeup bag. No matter how hard you try to create a lasting look, you still may need to do some minor touch ups throughout the day. Pack pressed powder, lipstick, mascara, and eyeshadow just in case your colour needs a boost.

Credit Cards Vs Debit Cards

Although credit cards are the most popular forum of credit around, alternatives such as the charge card also have their benefits. Despite both forms of cards being popular, many people do not know the difference between them. If you are looking for the best type of credit, then you really should compare the relative advantages and disadvantages of credit cards and charge cards. They might serve the same purpose, but if you know the differences between them you can get the right type of credit for your needs and hopefully save yourself some money. It is hard to say which type of card is better, although if you want to carry a balance then you have to opt for a credit card. Credit cards generally have more flexibility, as you can pay the money back more slowly. Credit cards also have the facility for 0% balance transfers which gives a huge advantage. However, if you are someone who always pays his or her bills back in full each month, a charge card might be the answer. This will give you greater spending power when you need it without allowing you to go into debt and pay interest on it.

Tattoo Books

I can't help but notice how our society plays follow the leader. If someone thinks that something is cool or hip, you'd better believe that someone else is going to follow suit. This is a basic human pattern or trait. Why else do you think tattoo books are so big these days? People want that stamp of approval. They want some ink stain on their flesh to remind them how common and trite they are. Oh wait, I think their reason for getting a tattoo is supposedly something else. Naa, it can't be. Too many people have them. So for all you individuals out there who thought body-art was unique, you'd better take another gander at today's society.
Oh brother, another guy with a tattoo just strolled past. How original! He took the road less traveled and had his ink job done on his arm. Is that original or what! Hey, and look, there's a girl with one on her lower back. That is certainly a new concept. I mean, I cannot recall the last time I spotted a chic with a tattoo on the small of her back. She must have one of those contemporary tattoo books or something giving her great ideas. Okay stop! This is clearly a sarcastic spiel. The truth is I've seen countless men with tattoos on their arms and women with tattoos on their lower backs. It's as redundant and conforming as it could possibly be. Although a tattoo may have stood for something in the past, it means nothing anymore. Who doesn't have one? Those are the unique few. When I was in college at Portland State University, I must have spotted a dozen different tattoos daily. I was starting to think that you had to brandish one to go to school there. Was there a massive sale on tattoo books at the school book store on day when I was absent? I was beginning to wonder. This body art in combination with the low-rider jeans girls wore was quite amusing. Somehow every tattoo had a vertical crack just below it. Go figure!
Okay, on a serious note; I realize that a great many people love body art and want some recent tattoo books for ideas. Well, if this is the case for you, then I suggest you get online and shop at Amazon.com. This is one web-store that seems to have it all. Happy tattooing!

Fresh Flowers

Fresh flowers
My tiny apartment looks so drab and dreary at times. I don't have many windows and the air doesn't circulate too much. As often as I can, I stop and get myself some fresh flowers to liven the place up. I never knew how therapeutic having fresh flowers can be. Suddenly, this tiny apartment has a light floral scent that entices all of the senses and it appears to be a little bit brighter. Plus, they make me smile whenever I walk into a room. I tend to put fresh flowers in my foyer and in my kitchen. Sometimes, if I'm in a really horrible mood, I'll put fresh flowers in my bedroom. I tend to vary what kind I purchase and the colors. Most of the time, it will depend on my mood.
There is a lovely meadow behind my apartment complex has the most beautiful wild flowers growing in the spring and early summer. I try to get some of those wild and fresh flowers for my house. Not only are they free but they are the most fragrant. I have to say though, that I often have to examine them very closely for any bugs that might decide to hitchhike into my house. I have had one too many bad bag experiences. Most of those fresh flowers are of varying purple shades. When they're in season, my entire apartment has some in every room. It helps to make the place seem so much more appealing.
Fresh flowers are not only a wonderful treat for yourself but make excellent gifts for others. They are easy to pick up and deliver in person. Whenever I visit my grandmother at her nursing home, I am certain that I have fresh flowers in my hand. The light in her eyes is all the thanks I could ever ask for. She will sit in her rocking chair and hold them for quite a while before putting them in water. I know that she just loves having them so close to her. If someone had a baby or has been ill, fresh flowers are sure to brighten their day and be appreciated. You truly cannot go wrong with fresh flowers, unless of course, some uninvited bug guests crawl out to say hello.
The best part about living in a major city is that fresh flowers can be found on almost every street. Vendors sell them, tiny markets always have them and even some restaurants will sell them to patrons. There is no excuse for not being able to find fresh flowers to put some sunshine in your life or someone else's. Put some in your home and see how therapeutic they truly are.
